Hot Bodies TCX

Lookin real nice. Love the new lipo ready design

TBH it looks like they have refined the cyclone for lipo and gone with the double bell cranks on the steering. does anyone know why they would change from the original single bell layout?
90% of the car remains unchanged, nice job on moving the servo more into the centre of the car. other than that I will be staying with the WCE for now and save me pennies....

Hi guys
It's now official; the next Hot Bodies Touring chassis will be named "TCX".
After the 2010 TITC held in Bangkok, Thailand, Atsushi Hara (winner of this year edition) presented the latest prototype once the race was over.
After several additional and intensive tests, Hot Bodies is now ready to press the "button" to release the next evolution of its touring chassis.
Way better than a long speech...

Of course it's too early to officially set the carry over parts list from the TC to TCX but here's roughly how it seems to be.
TC Carry over:
- Most of the suspensions parts + shock absorbers
- Suspension mounts.
- Spool outdrives
- Single pivot servo saver (double pivot Tamiya style may come as an option)
- Upper front/rear bulkheads
- Front bumper unit + rear body post.
TCX Specific:
- Chassis
- Top deck
- Motor/pulley bulkheads
- Lower front/rear bulkheads
- Front/Rear shock towers
- Differential outdrive (narrower diff body)
- Spool (main shaft only)
- Driveshaft (a bit longer)
- Middle pulleys (20th inner ratio is now 1.95)
- Belts
- Mid shaft
- Spur holder
Few differences may be added as this car was kind of pre-production kit.
A.Hara may use this car for the next ETS race in the Netherlands later this month.
To k_bojar:
Hmm I don't know exactly what is the attachment system. They are still 4 screws to grip the spur but I don't what about the pulleys themselves.
Will dig that out ASAP.
Cheers

Looks like there is a clearance issue with the servo horn and the steering post. If you look closely you can see that the servo horn had to be shaved to help with the clearance.
In terms of aesthetics, I kinda think the TC is a better looking chassis. I'm not sure about cutouts on the TCX chassis. But we all know it's not about looks. As long as it functions.

Yep, this servo horn has been cut a bit. But there would be no clearance issue (or at least less) with a servo horn like a "flat" standard Sanwa type or its equivalent in other brand.
But remember that it's a pre-production car, kit version may show a better fit&finish.
