The new bulkheads are 3mm narrower than the cyclone ones, meaning 1.5mm each side.

You won't need any different bearings, just need to add some shims.

You can buy 0.3mm shims and not use the 0.1 hpi ones.

Add 2 or 3 shims each side maximum. Also, you can reverse the bulkheads, because there is a pattern on the inside of them, and if you reverse them it makes them a little norrower.

I had this layout at my cyclone and raced with no problem at all.

Hope this helped

you need the different bearings - because when you shim out the diff, the part of the case that's made to ride in the bearing, isn't where its supposed to sit..

so you need different bearings in the bulkhead so that the diff actually rides on something - without the different bearings, the diff kinda just hangs there and causes a lot of drag...that's why I took mine out of the TC

I got an older cyclone a while back. Can someone tell me what the difference between these two caster blocks is? The plastic is totally different.

When i bought and installed the gear diff, I couldn't find such bearings, so I put 2-3 shims each side, and left much of play left-right. Also reversing the bulkheads helps a lot. With this layout the diff doesn't have where to "hang", so there is not a problem.

Of cource, if you can find wider bearings, it would be nice-but not necessary. Thats what I am saying.

I believe one is actually plastic and the other (as with the parts on the TCX) is graphite and more brittle.

Hello all again,
I have seen the setup of Atsushi Hara at the worlds and he uses in the shocks:
2000 cst oil and 1.3mm x6 ¿?
You can see this http://www.petitrc.com/reglages/hotb...728/index.html

I never see this setup on the shocks, is it better? I never uses an oil > 60 wt.
Anyone has tested this setup?

Thank you very much

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to let you all know that the kits did arrive a couple of days ago and are shipping to the distributors/local shops but like Hiro said it may take a couple of weeks for them to arrive.
