A buddy of mine who is sponsored by Hot bodies was telling me that the major points of the tcx-x is it will come with a gear diff, narrow chassis, and lower mount shock towers.

I got a hold of some TC-FD front knuckles and they made a world of difference in stability on this car. I highly recommend the 3 hole knuckles!

They are the 3 hole knuckles, the rear hubs are also lower at the camber rod mount that come with the set.

This is what I got from a Chinese RC forum. Most detailed leak so far.

Looks good - but why on earth have they decided to change the rear driveshafts to steel but leave the front ones as aluminium. That's the opposite to what most people have actually done to the TCX - changed the front driveshafts to steel and left the rear as aluminium. If they leave the design like that it'll be double the cost as both the front and rear driveshafts will need changing out of the box, rather than just the fronts as before - madness!

Hot Bodies TCX-sun-andychassis.jpg Tested two types of chassis

Unfortunately the race was not lucky for the team HB, all in the final B.

However, Hara scored twice in qualifying the second position, very fast.

Does anyone have any durability experience with the 68770? I've just used the 68769 for ONE DAY and one of them already broke. Note that I usually break suspensio arms, knuckles or hubs. But I've never broken any of the stock "short" cups. I am using the DCJ 44 mm driveshafts which is why I am using the long cups. It seems like once I swap out one part for another to prevent breakage, the new part is then the part that breaks. So I don't want to try the 68770 at $15 when the steel ones are $8 especially if the aluminum ones end up breaking even faster...

The 68770 are fine if your using the standard frt blocks (2.0 and 0).
When I ran 1.5 and 1.5 (no sweep) the 44mm dcj's will pop out and wreck the pom outdrive. They are plastic with an aluminum sleeve.

The steel outdrives seem to be much more durable. I did crack one but it was a freak thing.

Hmm... plastic for $15...steel for $8... I guess "steel is still real"...

THANKS for the input!!!

Why are you still trolling in this thread? Go back to the xray forums. We don't feed trolls here.
