No they do not, pin diameter is too small so you have too much play in the spool cup..

I cant confirm this, but im thinking for the time being you may be able to fit Tamiyas TA05 or JAAD racing steel spool cups to the tcx spool, then you will be able to use tamiyas 46mm steel driveshafts...

Im yet to break anything yet, done it now saying that havent i

I tried the Tamiya TA05 spool cups, they do not fit the TCX spool.

Well i was just commenting on them not being a direct fit.... i never tried it with blades, i know blades take away steering aswell, but i guess as a last resort they'll be ok then.

Also thanks rccartips for confirming this.

Did my first run with the car yesterday. I would probably get pink spring and the 3 hole shock pistons as a tuning upgrade.

Most of the performance effect I found came from bodies, tire choice and traction compound.

Not sure how you guys fitted the TA05 spool cups, the hole is smaller and does not fit into the TCX aluminum spool. Can you post a photo so I can also do the modification?

Thanks.

p.s. Here's my build and review of my HPI TCX. Hope I can get it up to speed soon.

I'll savor this "win". Not much chance of me beating him or most other people here on the track. I just started racing this summer. Last race I finished 3rd in the b-main, so I'm more like 12th loser
