With 17.5 zero boost you shouldn't have ANY wear problems pretty much ever.

I've been running mod and 10.5 (with boost) for about 40 runs so far with no wear or broken bones....

What type of grease and anti wear grease are you using?
check your front dog bones on the steering block end, the axle is made by weak aluminum which is too soft for front axles

Hmmmmm seems other people have the same problem, since yours are not wearing at all perhaps we all have faulty ones and should send them back to HPI for FOC replacement

Mine have no signs of wear either...

Admitidly i have only done 9-10 5 minute modified runs on carpet with it so far... 1 meeting and 1 test session.

It seems ace so far, loads of corner speed.

Virtually all the plastic parts are interchangeable.
  • Rod Ends
  • Bearing Holders
  • Body Posts
  • Front and Rear Arms
  • Hubs and Spindles
  • Sway Bar tip holders
  • Front and Rear Pullies
  • Outer Suspension blocks
  • Screws and Springs
  • Shock kit
  • Outer and Inner hinge pins
  • Ball Studs
  • Complete Bumper assembly
  • Bearings
  • Axles
  • And maybe a few other items I'm can't think of at the moment

I still have two Cyclone TC's in my arsenal. One for the Stock Class and the other is a BMI Foam chassis conversion. No need to get rid of them, when I can use a lot of the same parts.

for those running without boost (13.5)...

was able to fit a 100t spur (64p) with a 46t pinion without modifying anything... all i had to do was add 1mm spacers and use slighly longer screws to move the spur out a bit (only because i don't have a 100T RW or Xray spur that has the offset built in already). can still use bigger pinions as there seems to be enough space (maybe up to a 50T)

its just a pain to set as you need to take the whole spurgear assembly in and out to mesh the spur and pinion.

attached some pix.
