Hello there. i am thinking of picking up a TCX soon. Mostly because I like to to stick with the same brand all around,I run them in off road. How does this car compare to the tc5? I will be running on a carpet track rubber tire not sure on motor and esc yet.

I think it will eat the TC5 for breakfast.

I'd wait a month and see what the TC6 is like; that's a more fair contest.

If this is the case, the Spec R double joint dogbones for Tamiya could dit too... So we don't have to wait on Hotbodies to produce new DCJ...
The diameter of the pin in the dogbones for tamiya is smaller than HPI....

Are these Litemodz really reliable in time? I'm remembering reading something about the design and the scale...

Question. Why would HB list the current DCJ's as an option part for the TCX, if they're not compatible?

Maybe I'm missing something or the post that states otherwise.

I feel they are too short. They will pop out of the spool cup pretty easily. I already had issues doing that then running wider suspension blocks or a lot of arm sweep. I wouldn't recommend it. I think the car does just fine without them honestly... The ackerman characteristics are so much better than they used to be on the cyclone TC, the car rolls through the center of the corner a lot better (which is what the DCJs helped on my cyclone TC). I could care less if it chatters or not.

How do the (1.0 or 1.5) suspension mounts go when mounted in the FR. Wont they foul against the belt?

You have to modify them a bit. I just use a dremel to give the suspension block some clearance for the belt, and also for the steering linkage.

Please refer to Tommy's post in the Cyclone thread. On the TCX the spot you grind at will be different (since the belts at flipped), but the concept is the same.

Hi Korey/Hiro,

Any idea why did Hara and the rest of HB team used 1.0mm shim under the front suspension blocks rather than the usual 1.5mm during the IIC? what effect does it have by switching 1.5mm to 1.0mm? cheers!
