Default setup

I noticed on Andy Moores car from mod to 17.5 he put a 1mm shim on the steering arm... what does this do? I have never done this before.. I gather its something to do with Acherman or something like that?

Anyone know what it does to the car?

Thanks

Hello Hiro, I have a question for you, it seems that the IIC Hara used the lower shock tower, is right?

I have not run a touring car outdoors for several years... Maybe Korey would know this answer since he is outdoors during the summer.

What's that white thing in the upper right of the picture for?

Edit: I also noticed the body posts are facing at you in the picture, is that the new way to mount them?

Edit#2: Check that, is that an extra set of body posts for the rear?

I'd like to give a big thanks to Hiro! He spent all weekend helping everyone out, seemed at times he had 4 or 5 people asking different questions. Its very nice to have support at big races and to get insight as to what changes are doing what for the factory guys. Sure worked for me, was able to get my TC into the A main in 2 classes at IIC. Big thanks for sure!

The extra rear body posts are to harvest more downforce from the rear wing. I have never tried it so I can't say how well it works.

So its helping to keep the trunk lid from caving under pressure? So the wing works better?

Both answers are incorrect. It doesnt attache to the body. It is used to keep the body from getting tucked in the the rear tires when getting hit in the rear end. The post dont actually touch the body in this setup. It still use the upper normal body mounts for the body. Its something that a lot of foam carpet guys used a few years back and most still do in mains to keep from getting peeled and tucked.
