i m having some on power push on medium grip asphalt but couldn't figure the problem and my setup is pretty close to andy moore at titc but i used hudy 600 oil, xray 3.0 front and 2.8 rear springs

I think the shocks are 64 mm all round (not too sure on that though) and the hex hubs are the standard ones that come in the kit.

Hi Alex, if you are using Andy Moores TITC setup then you are running way to stiff all around. His setup was more suited for high traction smooth asphalt. If you are running on medium traction outdoor asphalt then i would suggest Hpi silver front springs and Hpi silver or blue springs in the rear to generate more grip and reduce pushing.

Go to 450 shock oil with pink springs all round, then test silvers all round and see what you prefer, my car has so much high speed steering its ridiculous, it would traction roll if we had the grip

Go to a 4.5mm or 4.3mm front hex, say hello to entry steering

You will want to change your shock length to 65mm so that you can get the lower droop values!

Try some of the changes, if not all of them i suggested on the page before and you will definitely hav more turn in! No need to alter the wheel hexes!!

Would the SpecR shock towers be a good solution for that?

Hi

just 3 questions ,
why have you lowered the steering ??

And what is the outdrive off the top spool in front ??

What belts are you using with the 40t spool and diff ??

thanks Mike

I think the end result would be the same, its just a cheaper option to lengthen the shocks by 1mm rather than 2 new shock towers, lol!

Thank you for more detail about your setup.
The shock length 64mm w/stock shock tower would be ok. But i would suggest using 4mm hex in the front along with 0.5mm spacer (each side) and 5mm hex (kit stock) in the rear.

Also, i would try inner shock mounting hole on the rear tower that would be #3 with 2mm inner camber link height.

Most importantly for carpet racing in general, way of applying traction additive is the key. I think you should try many different ways of additive like more front tire additive or longer time and find what the best drive feel for you. This should make more drastic change on the drive feel than finer setup changes.

hope it helps a bit.

All things being equal in setup, does using the 4mm wheel hex clamps make a big difference or do you guys use it as a fine tuning aid?

Its a fine tuning aid rather than a big change. Normally all the team drivers run 4 mm hex clamp with a 0.5mm spacer in the front. Sometimes i run without the spacer to get more initial turn in on tight technical tracks.
