Antoni

couple of questions if you dont mind answering them

I see your running the mod to change the front inboard toe in. what toe bar are you use FR ? I put one of the 3Racing jobs on and had to mill down the bar to get the steering to clear it. Also are you running standard knuckles and acherman ?

Where did you get your black servo wire from ? Been trying to find this for a while now

cheers

Default steering knuckles

Hi,

Ive noticed alot of drivers r using different steering knuckles, are they xray, yokomo, tamiya.....?

If so what r the part numbers for these and do they need extra shimming?

Matt, I have used Xray ones, you need to remove 1mm from the ackerman spacers on the steering bell to get the arms as they where with the standard HB ones. also know a few who use the 3Racing Zero ones as they are cheaper and actually come in pairs

theres a question, why the hell does HPI/HB sell the set as a knucle and a rear hub, rather than pairs of them, its a pain in the

I use Yokomo's blue aluminum ones, then fits.

Wait, could somebody tell me if is possible to change the color of aluminum stuff into purple?

Best regards

Sure no worries I am using a 1.0 Block FR and FF. I also have 1.5 FR and FF made up to try and test. I am using Tamiya Steering knuckles (you remove the bottom hat in the c-hub and place it underneath and they fit) With 2mm Ackerman shim. Have been using this combo for the past 4-5 Months.

And I coulour all my Wire in, ive just shortened the servo wire and use a Sharpie The Motor/Esc wire is the LRP/Nosram stuff.

Hope that answers everything, if you have any other questions just shoot me a PM

Cheers,

Antoni

not sure if you really need the aluminum bearing holders - the plastic ones work just fine and the notch is significantly more noticable on the plastic then any of my other cyclones...

you have a belt tensioner - again, not really sure an aluminum one will get you much more performance

the kit bearings are actually very good - in my opinion - i'd say unless you run on a really dusty dirty track, just use the kit ones and replace with avid bearings when needed avid's can't be beat for $1/bearing for non-ceramic...really don't think a $200 set of bocca ceramic ones will improve the car all that much - but again, that's my opinion (and I'm kinda cheap )
