Smokem Chassis is 2.2mm where as the Exotek is 2mm. Smokem seems stiffer in the middle but has more flex at each end of the car when compared to my exotek..

Quality and finish of the smokem seems better.. just my opinion though.. very well thought out... My exotek had a few niks (sanding fixes that though).

Will be interesting to see M Hayes review..

Just got my Smokem can't wait to see how it goes this weekend.

Tested this the other night with the original chassis.. http://www.smokem-racing.com/SB.html

Gives a tad more steering.. good upgrade.

Cheers

Luckily I think the layshaft for the bd5 is black, or silver if you run the hollow one! I think one of the holes lines up but the other is slightly further in so not not if it will fit? Has anyone got a yokomo layshaft they can try?

Recieved a reply from Smokem, they are currently relocating there operations, and won't be able to process orders until this has happened, 10 days +. Maybe they should of press released it after they have relocated.

I cant see the point in this, the alloy brace will be as stiff as the carbon here

The carbon brace allows a little more front flex. Whereas if the alloy flexes , it stays flexed............they do one of these for the 416 as well.
