Thanks!

The car was officially an Asian market release only, hence never appearing on the Hot Bodies USA/Europe site.

I'm unsure of the relationship between HPI and Overdose, but Overdose (which seem to be an arm of Weld tuning) seem to be churning out the TC-D parts of late and it just so happens that HPI's "Yodo" of Yodo's Drift Blog fame is now blogging for Overdose

Maybe the TC-D will continue to be available, but through the "Overdose" brand......who knows?

found this on another forum maybe it helps you out

The main difference between TC-D and TCX is their weight distribution. For example, their Motor and Battery locate at different position, other than that, their suspension is about the same. TC-D is mainly design for Drifting and TCX is design for On road Racing.

Hope this help.

Thanks for the info guys.

The tcx looks more my cup of tea as a racer, and will most likely be my next chassis. Looks really well thought out.

Not to derail this thread, but any plans on bringing the tcd to the states?

Thea easyest thing to find that out would be contacting HPi or hot bodies i think.

I don't really race touring cars much so I was wondering if this car is carpet race ready? I know the TC5 has 2 types foam and rubber I plan to use foam unless rubber is better?? Can you guys help.

I believe the TCX is carpet race ready but for rubber tires. I think it was designed for rubber racing and should shine in the hands of Hara at the next World Champs.
Foam TC racing is all but dead (at least in my area) and I would be surprised to see a foam version of the TCX. That's not saying you can't put foam tires on it but you won't be getting the most from it if you do.

Rubber tires work very good on carpet but you have to work harder at setup to get the most from them. Foam tires hook up great on carpet, better than rubber, and you can be a little off on setup and still be fast. That leads to the age old debate, which is better rubber or foam ? They both have pluses and minuses. Do a seach on this forum and I'm sure you'll get a lot info on rubber vers foam. My guess is you'll probably run what the majority are running at your track.
