are you racing ?? bashing ?? drifting ???

Racing , check your local club rules for batterys and motor rules

Bashing , buy an EZrun 9 turns brushless set up from Ebay ($90)

drifting , something like an EZrun 17.5 turns brushless set again from Ebay

Drifting doesnt need so much power as you gear it differantly than you would if you were bashing , if you are bashing then 9 turns will give you good speed and loads of power

and cheap lipos are everywhere in hong kong for nearly nothing now look at RCmarket , RCmart

you need Hard case 2S lipos and dont forget you need a propper Lipo charger

Default Need some more opinion please

Thanks for the info.
Anyone else ?
I wanna do speed runs / bashing.
I'm probably going to get a team associated tc5r.
But I don't know what's a good/fast brushless motor or what lipo to use .
I see some cars on YouTube that be going 100 mph plus . That's my goal as well. =p

Personally, I like the Hobbywing series motor line. These are just about as cheap as it gets in terms of BL motors. Anything 6.5 or more is pretty good for speed runs.

For a Li-po, I would go with anything from Maxamps. These batteries carry huge mAh( the lowest I know they have is a 4,000 mAh; The highest being a 13,500 ) and extreme C-ratings. I recommend the 5,250 3s Li-po. Hope this helps.

I'm not allowed to post a URL unfortunately, but hopefully you aren't a total internet newb and can figure out what to do with this partial link.

The driver states in the comments for the above video:
"The car is Schumacher mi3.5 ,2200kv castle creations 1/8 scale motor, castle hv110 airplane esc up to 12s lipo,10s poly rc 3200 mah lipo batteries!"

He gets that car up to 157MPH in another video. search for "157MPH head on"

A car with this set up wouldn't be much fun for anything other than speed runs. I doubt it would handle very well (he crammed a 10s lipo battery in the bloody thing along with a motor meant for 1/8th scale and an ESC meant for an airplane)
