Those look very much like the stock tires for the Apex touring car. It's been few years since I ran the stock Apex tires. Remember they had good grip but didn't last long. Though with the 4Tec being brushed, tire wear could be better

I'm still with the stocks. Want to see how long they can last. I'm planning to try Sweep slicks on mine.

Tires are probably fine. I'd wonder about the wheels. Some of the cheap spoke wheels break pretty easy. It's been awhile since I've used them. Once I started using the solid TC tires/wheels, I gave up on spoked wheels.

makes sense im going to try a differnt hobby shop by me next week to see what they have ive heard they have quite the selection for on road car/ drift stuff.

Interested to read what you find. I should just put a set of the slicks on to give them a try. Kinda curious about the VTA tires Protoform has coming out.
