If it's really discontinued, then it's only been in the last few months or so...and they made essentially the same car for like 6-8 years. They also share parts with some of the RS4 nitro cars as well as the Rally, earlier Pro, Mini and even some Sprint stuff...

You should be able to get parts just about forever. There's a TON of RS4 stuff on the shelf at every shop I go to...if it was only that easy to get Pro4 spares...LOL

On www.hpiracing.com, HPI claim that the Sport2 is discontinued. Buy it or not? Well, it's very durable, so you will almost not need any parts. Only the ones I mentioned, because they wear out at some point. But on my Pro2, they aint wear out yet... And I've raced it for a year!

Is "discontinued" a reason for not buying? At my opinion no, I bought the Pro2 even though it had been discontinued for quite a long time...

TC3 is a fragile car.... So if you wont get a Sport2, I would rather get an XRay Raycer. Durable and fast. And you have the option for upgrade to the graphite version later on. So there's more future in this solution...

By the way, most of my equipment is rather old, but still going strong: Pro2, Sport2, KO Presto, LRP v7.1, P2K, Green Machine 3...

Hah, I believe you, I mean I have a HPI Mini RS4 and it is some 4 years discontinued, and the only thing I've had to replace for it is another pinion gear, becuase the bold the held it on the motor shaft fell out. So i believe you about how durable it is.

I guess, I will just have to see which one is more feasible for me.
