It seems that it is kind of funny that as we plan each year for the IIC we have watched our industry go through many changes. From Brushed to Brushless, from 6 cell to 5 cell, Cells to Lipo, 4 cell to 1 cell and now it is the massive and accelerated change in speed controls that faces us. As all of you who have attended the IIC know, our team always tries to do what we feel is the fairest and best thing for you the racers as well as what is best for the IIC, Our Team has worked very hard looking at all the scenarios and options there are and we think we came up with a great class structure that will give everyone fun options to run at the IIC no matter what your ability is or what your passion for racing is.

Class structure for IIC 2010

AMATURE- 17.5 WITH LIMITED PROFILE ON SPEED CONTROL- HANDOUT MOTOR
STOCK - 17.5 WITH LIMITED PROFILE ON SPEED CONTROL
SUPER STOCK - 17.5 WITH OPEN SPEED CONTROL SETTINGS
MODIFED

1/12TH - 17.5 WITH LIMITED PROFILE ON SPEED CONTROL
1/12TH - 13.5 WITH OPEN SPEED CONTROL SETTINGS
1/12TH - MODIFIED

WGT - 13.5 WITH LIMITED PROFILE ON SPEED CONTROL
EXPERT WGT - 10.5 WITH OPEN SPEED CONTROL SETTINGS

ALL SEDAN CLASSES WILL USE JACO RUBBERZ TIRES
WGT CLASSES WILL USE SPEC HANDOUT JACO WGT TIRES.

All Classes with the exception of Amateur will be a bring your own Legal Motor.
Amateur will be a Handout Brushless Motor Class.

Class registration information.
We will again be doing registration live online from the www.intchamps.com website.
Registration will go live on June 6th at 8pm Est. that is 5pm Pst.
You will need a Credit Card or Pay Pal account to register online but you will also be able to sign up via normal mail and mail your entries in without the fear of not getting into the race if it sells out. I always reserve some spots for mailed in entry so you have no worries if you mail it in.

Registration fees for this years IIC are as follows:

Amateur Class $170. This includes both a Brushless Motor and 1 set of Handout Tires.

For all other Handout tire classes 17.5, Mod R, WGT or Expert WGT as your first entry it will be $150. This will include 1 set of Handout tires.
If this class will be your 2nd or 3rd class the price will be $90 and this will also include 1 set of tires.

For 1/12th classes as your first class will be $135.
If this class will be your 2nd or 3rd class it will be $70.

These prices are the same as last years.

Here is what your registration fee gets you at the IIC

* Upon Check in, the great IIC Goodie Bag. Which consist of many great items from our sponsors totaling close to $100 in goodies.

*Discount coupons at the Rivera for shows and souvenirs

* Great event T shirt designed by Dusty Kemp.

* Professional ID Badge commemorating the 2010 IIC.

* Tuesday Drivers Meeting Buffet Dinner in the Ballroom at the top of the Riviera.
This was a tremendous hit last year giving everyone a chance to relax, socialize away from the track and fill your gut with all the great food you can eat.

*Wednesday night Sponsor Meet and Greet with more free food and Free BEER, YES FREE BEER! For those of legal drinking age of course. Last years event was crazy! Everyone had a great time and it was a perfect way to wrap up practice.

*A race venue that is second to none in the world of RC Racing located right on the Strip.

*Tech inspection managed by Jamie Tennies who is one of the most experienced and well respected guys in the business.

* The Staff at the IIC will bring you the best, most on time race program you have ever attended. Each day when you arrive at your pit, there will be a time table listing exactly what time your race will be on the track. If it says your in race 22 and it will start at 208pm. You can be assured it will start at that time. This allows you the racers the chance to plan your day so you don’t have to stay at the track the whole day, you can go out and win lots of money in the casino if your lucky or explore all the Las Vegas has to offer.
So as you can see, your entry feel includes so much more that just the right to race in the event. You get great gifts, great food and the best event possible. And when you compare this to what other events charge, you can see that the IIC is a great deal.

We invite you to ask around and talk to racers that have attended the IIC and you will see why racers return year after year.

If you have any questions at all, please let us know and we will be happy to answer them.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the IIC and let’s make it a September to Remember.

Thanks
Scotty and the IIC Team.

Hi guys,

Well as you can see above, we have posted the info for this years event. I am sorry that it has taken me so long to finalize this, but with the way things are changing so quickly in our world, I had to wait to ensure that everything was in place to set the classes.

I think it is obvious that the speed control situation is the issue that has held up things, but speaking with the major ESC companies they are all on the same page and agree that we need to get some form of control for Stock Racing.

I will have a list of allowed ESC and allowed Versions that we will allow for this years IIC. That info will be out soon.

I am very excited for another great IIC and I look forward to seeing everyone in Vegas.

Thanks
Scotty

Thanks, Scotty
Considering what is going on right now with speed controls and the the direction ROAR and many tracks are taking these classes look great to me. My problem is that I will only have time to run two classes, how do I choose

Default Classes

That class structure looks like it will make for real tight racing in each class.

Not to mention really easy to run two classes.

However, I guess I can see how some more skilled drivers may see limited options.

Decisions,decisions!(for me)

I will probably waffle for a while but I am sure if I watch a few more Reedy vids I will be looking for a reservation site!!!!

Yeah why not,
No I can't go.

Yeah why not!

darn it, where is that worn out credit card!

Reservations open the 6th.--- Great the wife's B-Day---Guess what I got you for your birthday?

Later,
Darrald

I'm in, not that it matters as I am just cannon fodder anyways. Just glad I don't have to buy a spec esc for one race.

3 TC classes.

I may need a second car for that. But if the handouts are the same as last year I can run the same car in two classes, amateur and stock and run 17 open also. But then again why run amateur and stock...that may be redundant? Idk...while running two classes last year I had plenty of time between races.

Hi guys,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial day.

THEISGROUP: Just wondering what classes you were looking for? With these classes I would think there are plenty of options to race a second class.

ODPURPLE: Glad you are going to make it. I am sure you will figure out the classes to run. It is going to be fun.

DRSFLY: Darrald, awesome answer. Like Fred Flintstone buying Wilma a new bowling ball for her birthday that only fit Fred! I hope you can make it.

CAMMER: Glad you also going to join us. Speed Control thing has been tough but the manufactures are behind us in our decisions so it will work out well for the IIC.

PITNAMEGORDIE: Yes you can run 3 classes and there is plenty of time to do it.

RON GOETTNER:I hope you can make it, you will have fun.

BRIAN L: Is the the Brian L I know from Wisconsin? how are you?

GITSUM: Any choice will work. I hope you can make it.

DANNY-B23: Practice will start Tuesday Morning. Monday will be check in at Noon and Pit set up will be later in the afternoon.

A driver will be allowed to run any combination of classes be it 3 TC or 3 1/12th or a mix.

Let me know if you guys have any other questions,

Thanks
Scotty
