I am looking at buying some Trinity monster stock 27t motors and was wondering who would be the best tuners of there great motors. Aslo do people recommend putting in teflon washers.

Yes there is such a thing as tuned stock motors. There are a number of motor tuners that specialise in tuning stock motors and the Epic/Trinity is their favorite. search and yea might find one of them. As for nylon/teflon motor spacers well the answer is in the same place. here is a place to start

I heard good things about paradigm...

I would just buy a normal motor and tune it yourself

I have several Team Paradigm stock motors and several Team Paradigm KR mod motors and they deliver the goods and they are great people to deal with. With pricing in Australia it is cheaper for me to buy the Team Paradigm tuned motors than it is to buy off the shelf non tuned motors here in Australia.

Have you compared a tuned and un-tuned stock motor back to back, with the same setup, one race after another. Im just interested to know how much difference there really is.

The best tuned motors in the world wont help you unless you have the total package and ability to use it to its limits

I would also say team paradigm since you get alot of extras along with your tuned motor.

Most places will probably do about the same thing as far as tuning goes if they are worth anything unless what one place does is cost restrictive.

The answer is no as we don't have any std off the shelf motors the same to compare with.
Each Paradigm stock motor comes in a motor tube with a spare set of brushes and a 2 page dyno print out

I have read all your responses so far and i am taking them all in. I know having the fastest motor is not going to help if the rest is not up to scratch but it will be 1 less thing to have to work out.

I have heard of Putnam motors what do you guys think of them. They tune monster stocks i have heard.

where do you get the paradigm motors in oz? How much are they?

I really don't know where you buy them in Oz. I just buy them direct from Team Paradigm in the states. delivery is about 2 to 3 weeks

Even though I'm biased, I have to say Putnam Propulsion tunes the best stock motors. The one thing that really sets Putnam apart is that they make their own brushes instead of just using Trinity or Reedy brushes. If you do a search in the database here, you will find that there is not much argument as to who has the best stock brush, and hence the best tuned stock motors...
