got this from another site. Has anybody heard about it????

rumor going around that jim has taken a position at custom works r/c..

Yes it is true. I talked to a friend at Trinity today. He said Dieter left April 1st and that Chad Phillips will be taken over the Team duties.

I've been hearing that rumor for a long time, this is the first time I've heard it with a date attached, though. For what it's worth...

So I take it Custom works is going to get into the motor bizz. Wonder if they'll be doing OEM winding or if they're going to come out with their own line of motors.

Thats a pretty good possibility, but mabe he is there to design a new dirt oval car. I remember that in a RCCA a while back, it talked about how he designed the original reflex(i think it was called that ), but im not sure. I dont have the issue in my hand, so if i am wrong, please correct me

Yes, Custom Works is owned by Tony, the nascar driver.

If you can get your hands on a RCDriver issue #1, there is an interview with Tony.

Rob Cutman runs CW for Tony. He is one of my good friends. CW has alot of new stuff coming up so be patient and hold on as the ride will be wild. Thats all I can say. I promised Rob not to get to carried away.

I remember the Reflex10 back in the day. It's amazing what a company can do when they've got some big time money to back them. I know CW has an oval car coming out that the ran at the birds. It wouldn't surprise me to see a 1/12 and even a TC come out of there in the next couple of years along with a motor division. I've honestly never been a Tony Stewart fan. But I know he comes from a background in RC Racing as well as other forms of racing and if he can help grow the industry and use his popularity to bring RC Racing to more people, that would be a great thing.
