Your find that all pro red motors make that noise, it's because the strength of the rotor magnet, try turning the rotor by hand then try the other one and the other will turn easier.

Ok so is that why it even makes a terrible grinding noise under hard breaking ....

no when its on full throttle or during acceration it sounds smooth and good but just when u left off rite before it comes to a stop it sounds awful...and a bit rite when u start to throttle up and large grinding under hard braking ....and only does it with this motor....the manual reccomends to have your fdr between 4.0 to 5.5 ....mines at 3.7 ....does that have anything to do with it you think?

Thanks

Rob

My 13.5's and 10.5 Corally's all sounded terrible just before coming to a stop, particularly noticable whening pulling up the the line before the start of a race.

The sound might be due to the gearing, try gearing lower around 4.5 and see if it makes any difference.

ya changed my fdr to a 4.4 and no noise under breaking and sounds a lot smoother but the grinding when slowing down stays but you can tell its the strength of the motor because even when it comes too a stop it still wobbles back and forth for a second or sooo
