Default Profile 5

Its ok to use in stock racing but if motor climbs above 75c suggest retarding motor timing 5 degrees a pop. Till you have a working temp .Also try rollout reduction till it affects performance.
If all this fails back to where you started and run profile 4. Which in effect reduces timing by 10 degrees.

motors you plan to use
track size

verison 1 and version 2 gear a little diffrent.

Can you give us any more info about how many degrees of timing is added in each profile?

I'm having trouble keeping the temps down at any gearing.

What do you mean by adjusting the throttle profile by +5?

If you got older motor no matter what you do it seems like they run hotter than when they are new. Unless you are running LRP X12 line of motors they like it hot

Skiddins

There are 5 profiles on the software used by BD..

1 - Stock Spec 0 degree timing
2 - 10 degrees Timing
3 - 20 degrees Timing
4 - 30 degrees Timing
5 - 40 degrees Timing

--

personally am using the sp V3 17.5 with about 4.5 fdr max timing on the motor.

this comes off at 62degrees after 5 minutes and no Fan..

This is based on my local track which has a big amount of grip.

Outside again depends on the track, could run from anything from 3.9-4.3 FDR

Setup for x12 10.5,

Run 0000 timing, power profile 4 and start at 54 rollout (track depending) but good ish starting point.

if you are making 8 min runs and not over heating you have 2 options up the rollout or move to oo.

Based on the track this would be my direction.

Did test on profile 5 and X timing, the power was wild but thing overheated quickly made it hard to drive so much torque out of corners..

Default timing and rollout

Novak Ballastic 10.5

Settled for 10 degrees retarded from factory setting and rollout of 62mm and profile 5.

Temperature usually about 70c. Would like lower.

If I ran on profile 4 and moved timing on motor up 10 degrees what would be the effect or nothing.
Ive only ran on profile 5 but now dont have the time for testing .Differcult to do on race days as time is precious.

Stupid me. I've lost the little instruction and setup booklet that came with my AE speedo. Can someone please direct me to a site where I can access and download the instructions?

Default VER 2.1 Limited stock profile

Any one used this profile with a 17.5 yet. See it is a 1/12th class at the forth coming IIC in vegas.
BD will now be allowed thanks to Frank at CRC.Looking for some info on using a Novak 17.5 with the limited profile. Motor timing and rollout.

Anyone run the LRP X12 10.5 with the BD and what difference in gearing /profile you used.

I tried profile 5 for the first time with 6.77FDR on this track;

With this layout;

The car was very fast but the motor came off at 107degC (225degF)

On profile 4 the motor was coming off around 75-80degC on the same FDR
