If you (or someone you know) have the shims for adjusting front ride-height on a 12R5 they fit PERFECTLY between the standoff and the upper arm mount!

Well... Today I finally had the time to take a complete day at the track and really do some testing with the CH12. Last week I was going to but I crashed a servo saver and offcoarse, nobody had one spare...

All I can say is... WOW!!! This car really rocks!!! Almost straight out of the box built and it was dead-on, super steady and more steering than I have ever seen on a 12th scale... Today I could find a basic tire setup on our track so coming week I will go on with setting the CH12 up further. I also will try the shims under the pivots & upper arms to make the car even better...

Damn Jason!!! What a CAR!!!

I don't have anything for a 12R5, but thanks for the info anyway.

Just got back from the TimezoneII GP and wow!! Friday was practice but I got there a day early on Thursday for the club race. I needed the extra time with the car (gotta knock off almost 1-1/2yrs of rust, lol) . After some ESC frustration (had to breakdown and buy a TekinRS Pro) and tire testing, I was fastest with CRC Black frts @ 1.65" & CRC Grlw or BSR GrWht @ 1.68". The car was very efficient with tire wear. Without detailing everything out- with one practice run, 2 Quals (there was 3 quals total but tried BSR Team Purple frts for one of them), and 2 Mains, tire wear was approx .008" per. Awesome!!
There's more to post but I'm mentally spent and just wanna veg. Talk to you peeps later.
BTW, with this new front-end, get yourself (2) 'stepped' ride height gauges for setting your droop alot faster & more accurately. More on that later....its really simple though and close to what most of us do already.
Oh and of course I glued the sidewalls of the front and rear....

Yep...sure did When I left the game, the LRP TC Spec and Speed Passion 1.0 was my last speedos. My last big race was the 2008 IIC. So this was my first time running a speedo waith all this boost/dynamic timing crap But Kenny Lambert (Tekin rep) was there and ALWAYS available to dial me in. It was fast but I don't think it's optimized yet Anything you need to know?

Here is the setup i ran yesterday. Car was the best so far.

Front:
1.8mm flex plate in soft position
3mm shims under front hinge pin block
#6 shurlube in center tube
3.5mm ride height
.5mm droop
1.5 degrees camber
6 degrees caster
1.5mm shims per side behind front axles
0 toe

Rear:
Gold center spring w/ 40 wt. oil
shock in short position
1.2mm c/f flex plates in soft position(long mount)
#4 shurlube in tubes
3.5mm ride height
1mm pod droop
172mm rear track width

I ran gray white rears cut to 1.670 and 2x pink cut to 1.620. Glued sidewalls front and rear. Sauce for 10 minutes and wipe off tires 5 minutes before run. I sauced the full rear and 1/3 of the inside of the front.

I must say, after watching everyone dread setting ride height and scrambling for shims, it is really cool to be the only car on the market that doesnt need to do that. A small tweak on the set screws and your ride height and droop is adjusted. Im loving it.

Jason, do your 1.2 cf flex links come in pairs or individually?

Also, what is the part number for the four screws that hold the front end to the chassis plate?

Thanks

The 1.2mm flex plates are sold as a pair. DB6488 is the part # for the 8-32 x 1/4 stainless steel screws.
