Hello,

waiting for my CH12 with the new FE to arrive

Question for all CH12 owners: Does the IP 5600mah 1s Lipo Race pack fit nicely into CH12 lipo slot?

They'd better fit! I ordered two of them but my guessing is that they will fit neatly... If you wait a couple more days I will be able to tell you exactly how they fit the CH12...

with the new front end there is a number of screws thread into the graphite/epoxy parts.
are you tapping the threads on any of these or just threading straight into the bare material?

particularly i was thinking the 8-32 screws for the subplates to chassis connection might be a candidate for precut threads?

I didn't thread them before I put the screws in... It is however a point of care not to take out the screws too many times I guess... Only if you really have to. Otherwise just let is stay on the chassis... There are not many parts that need dismounting a lot so you'd be safe with that...

I would suggest taping the 8-32 holes. I split one of the mounting plates when I tried it without taping. Taped all the rest of the 8-32 holes and haven't had a problem. Jason pre-assembled the rest so I don't know about the smaller screws.

Very cool today guys. Bite was down as not as many people came out as they did last weekend. I ran the same setup and the car worked great. Had a slight push as the bite was down and i didnt feel like making any changes. I still managed to take TQ by a lap in both WGT and 1/12th. Had no luck in the main as in 1/12th, my sensor wire took a dump and ended my race and in WGT a screw came out as i was leading the race. Guess i got a little too careless. This is what happens when you dont have to spend all that time tweaking and messing around. You forget to check anything Cars were both amazing and super easy to drive. I love this new front end. I ran 1 set of tires each for both WGT and 1/12th. I ran 2 packs for practice,3 heats and a main and didnt even have to rotate them. The car is just so efficient.

hi Jason, could you clear up a couple of questions?

your recent setups refer to a 1.2 GR/EP rear flex plate, but the website shows the FRG and 1.5mm GR/EP. is thre a third set of plates or is there a typo?

also, regarding droop, i wanted to confirm that you are measuring this by the amount the chassis rises from static?
(as opposed to the difference in pod height front to back at max extension)

thanks for the help, tony

I am running 1.2mm carbon fiber flex plates. We have 1.5 fiberglass, 1.5mm carbon fiber and 1.2mm carbon fiber for the rear. I will check the website out and see what is listed

I check the droop front and rear by how much the chassis rises over ride height.
