Mine showed up in the mail today, prep and assembly in 6 hours.

If you have any pan car experience at all, this kit flies together.

Takes longer to prep and seal the CF edges than any other single step, and the AE front end requires the usual hand fitting and attention to get everything together free-moving, but without slop.

The finish on all the aluminum parts are top notch, and everything fits perfectly together.

I wish the axle kit came with the "standard" D-rings, instead of the light weight, but that's my only complaint. I've seen too many light weight rings ruin a right hand wheel hub or axle hub. I had a set of the rings I prefer on-hand, so the light weight rings will just be spares.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to run this car for a few more days, waiting on my battery, body and wheels to show up from another order.

I too preferred the full D ring for the same reason...but I've been running the IRS lightened ones that come with the car for awhile now and haven't had any problems with them...I actually tried full sized D-rings and came back to the lightened rings because the full sized rings take so much work to get them flat where the lightened IRS ones do not.

I built mine with CRC full size rings, and Protek ceramic balls, went together beautifully. The CRC rings did take some work to get flat on both sides, but I didn't find it that bad. The real test will be when I can get this thing on the track, but right now the diff is super smooth without any slip by hand.

Is the old associated front end better than the new one?
