Once you set up a BMI car it's done. While the other racers will be checking tweak after every run you will be sitting down relaxing waiting for the next race. BMI is the only pan car out there that is set it and forget it. Ever since I bought my first DB12R I will not buy another pan car as long as Jason keeps making them.

The car ran awesome last night. Started off rough when i was trying different tires but i went back to my origional set up and the car was dialed. Here is the setup i ran

Front:
Stock 1.5mm flex plates in stiff position
#5 shurlube in tube
1 degree camber
stock roll center
Team purple front tire cut to 1.650 glued sidewalls
3.5mm ride height
6 degree caster
.75mm droop

Rear
Gold center spring w/ 40 wt oil
shock in short position
#4 Shurlube in tubes
1.2mm c/f flex plates in long mounting position
Gray/White rears cut to 1.700 glued sidewalls
1mm pod droop
3.5mm ride height

Car was very stable and handled awesome. Still have a few more things i want to try. I will do more this weekend.

It is understandable to run what your local track supports. I hate to see someone go somewhere else but you need to do what makes you most comfortable. If you want to give it another shot, you can send the car to me, i will set it up for you, check it on the track and make sure it is right and then send it back to you. We dont have as much time with the new front end as with the strut front end but rest assured, we will be finding better and faster setups as time goes on. Right now my personal car is already faster than my car with the strut front end and i have had alot of locals change over to our car from other brands after trying ours and going faster with them. Its just a matter of getting used to the new window of adjustment. Let me know if you would like the help. Otherwise, best of luck with any car you decide to go with buddy. 1/12th is alot of fun.

Jason,

What are the different caster angles on the new front end? With both shims backwards it is 6 but what will it be with the shims on different places???

Jason...or anyone else that knows...when you say front flex plates in "stiff position" is that with the set-screws in the holes toward the centerline of the chassis or out toward the a-arms?

I'm assuming it's the outer holes towards the a-arms as that should stiffen the flex of the flex plate...Am I thinking about that correctly?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Mike

That is correct. The outer holes closest to the arms

Hello, i have a DB12RR chassis, but here the 1/12 class is not very popular, and i have the car only for display ...
The car is awesome in outdoor, i win National with it, 2 years a go, modified class with NiMh.
I like to know, if there a lot of differences into my car and new Copperhead, is possible update to Copperhead 12, or is best buy a new car, ... etc.

Thanks in Advance, Luis C.
