With a 17.5 you shouldn't have to worry about down force. Any body out there will provide enough for a stock motor. I would actually look for one with little down force. If you start running 10.5 or lower, then look for the bodies with more down force.

Hey guys,

I just weighed the car and with a thick body on it and the new front end race ready. It came in at 740 grams. With a lightweight body, we should be very close to the minimum weight for 1/12th. Considering i was worried about weight, this is a very big plus. We were able to keep it light and it works better than the strut. Win win situation.

I've been running the standard parma speed 8 in 17.5 since we went to 1cell. The car felt good with the high downforce bodies but was to stuck and was just slow. I havn't run the speed 12 so I can't tell you anything about it.

That's great Jason, EFRA rules state the minimum weight of a 12th scale must be 730gr. So that is pretty close...

yup. It is right there where it needs to be. My body is pretty heavy. Light weight body should get me real close. This is in stock form. All steel screws.

I don't know the difference in weight between a normal and a light weight body. Out here everybody is running LW bodies anyway so...

IIC will be 730g so with a light body and paint I should be right on the money!

Front ends are being packaged today for shipment. As a side note, it looks like the front end will be a direct bolt on to the SpeedMerchant cars and we are close to having fitment plates for the CEFX cars and R5's. If anyone wants one for a CRC car, feel free to PM me. I would need the chassis from the car to take measurements and it would be returned with your front end.
