Hey jason I called yesterday but the lady said you were out.I'll try again from work tomorrow. Are there spacers included with the kit to adjust roll center? you may have to explain this a lil more for me,I wouldnt know when or how to make this adjustment. And with the front end flex plates do you adjust these by lifting the front end until the wheels come up at the same time and can you make it stiffer and softer? thanks sorry for all the questions.

The dampening used for the rear needed to be much lighter than what we used when using the strut front end. The car was very edgy until i went much lighter in the tubes and then it smoothed out. Not only that, it transitioned much faster and overall rolled through the corners much faster. I messed with roll center and found where i needed to be. When i lowered the pivot plate too much the car traction rolled going into the tight sections. Once i got the car where it needed to be, nothing could match the corner speed. The car just doesn't slow down. It gets into the corner great, holds its line, and gets out with very little steering input. It took a little adjusting but it was definitely better than the strut front ends. The traction was very good at the track. There was no double steer that you would normally get with a 1/12th dampened too lightly. Its just feels like a race car. Definitely a step forward.
That makes sense...the double wishbone suspension is going to have more of a roll to it than the old strut front ends so the back end will have to be lighter to match the roll rate. I would suspect that as the front rolls the damper tubes probably move very little if at all so there probably isn't as much dampening on the roll as there is on just regular suspension compression. Running a separate damper tube for each arm would give a bit more dampening as the front rolls but would also add weight and take up additional room. And it isn't really needed as it sounds like changing the rear dampening works very well.

Cool deal...I know where that is! When I lived in Tampa for a month a few years ago I worked at a Dealership there right off the exit. They are close now though!

Glad to see you all got some fuzzy stuff to race on!

Is the plan still to have Butter running the Copperhead(s) at the IIC? Haven't heard much from him lately on the thread.

I talked with him the other day and he is leaving for Spain for 3 weeks and when he returns has a big RC Air show the week of the IIC so I doubt he will be there.

We have started production of the front end kits. If anyone would like to pre order, feel freee to call the shop at 352-544-0463 to get your order in. As i said a page or so back, you can get the Copperhead 12 with the new front suspension but the price does go up some for the car kit. It will be $299.99. Thanks for all of your support.
