So when will this car be available, and how easy is it going to be to get parts,
what is the price going to be, can't decide on this one or the 12r5.1

We tried having the battery position adjustable. What we saw is that you needed to move it drastic amounts to have any effect as it is so light. Moving the electronics forward or rearward had more of an effect. So with the reduced weight in the rear of the car, we decided to run it as far back we could and make it fixed postion. This did yield the best results.

Not sure of a release date, but the quality will be much better than Associated. If you can wait..... wait.

The car is ready. I just need to get box labels finished and the instructions finished. The price is going to be the same at $250.00. Keep in mind that this car comes with a ton cool parts that are considered aftermarket anywhere else such as titanium front axles, titanium turnbuckles,7075 aluminum pivot balls front and rear w/ nickle teflon coating, silva bladder shock, Boca bearings, machined pivots(not molded),IRS ride height adjuster set,Irs upper front hinge pins and the list goes on

Jason. When the order comes in from "Evilgrafx", make sure you send it first. I want to put my grubby hands on it.

Let's go Tim. Get that order in NOW!

Default Front End

I see that you stuck with the old front end. I've heard from a lot of people that switching to the associated front end is much better. My RR is still using the standard issue front end and handles well but it seems that the cars with the associated front end handle better.

I guess I would just like to know why you didn't do anything different?

Thanks,
Carlos A. Marcano

The front end that comes with the car works very well. Some opt to use the updated AE front end and that will work with the hyperdrive mounting blocks. I have a few guys that are running the new AE front end on the Db12RR and it seems to fit fine. I will see how it fits with the new car as soon as i can. Moving the arm location on the car will effect the handling of the car and i dont want to mess with that. It worked extremely well at its current wheelbase so i want to keep it there. I will be releasing an optional front end soon. I could not include it in the kit as i have no room for it if i want to keep the price the same. We are really working at margin with the cars as it is the only car out that comes with all the bells and whistles. I dont cut corners with quality. I refuse to follow the rest with going cheap and flimsy.
Jason posted this on the DB12RR thread. Should clear it up for you.

He is...there is a BMI front end being developed now that will be an option part. But for the production version it will stay the same as previous versions.

The new AE front end is the only front end that has any difference from what comes with our car. There are a few different companies that made there own copy of the standard strut front end but really do not veer from the origional strut front end. I did not want to follow that direction. I will be releasing a front end that will be different but i needed to keep it aftermarket to keep my pricing the same.

Are the pod plates that come with the new car the standard ones or are they considered lowered?

The 1/12th car comes with the lowered pods and the 1/10th comes with the standard pods. Both cars can run the tires down to the rim and make ride height.

ah, i see some real improvements. the rear lower pod plate has more meat where it counts, around the RHS fwd mount.

i didn't appreciate the 'lightly' redundant load path in the flex bar to pod path until you pointed it out. But, if you found that removing this effect is beneficial, then boy howdy, i can't wait to try it out!

Jason congrats for your new 1/12 car looks a killer.
I want to ask you i have the DB12RR and on asphalt tracks is very good,is the Copperhead 12 the same characteristics or is oriented to carpet tracks?
I ask you because in Greece we have only asphalt tracks.
