I like to use thin double sided tape as a security measure along with strapping tape around the chassis. I never really pull the battery out on race day ever. The pocket for the pack is good for locating the pack. I cant go deeper with it as i will be cutting past the center core of the material which will make the chassis warp. It will hold the SMC in place well and is used as a visual locator for packs with larger corner radius.

Jason, we have to use a Lipo bag for charging. Do you not have to, or do you have a bag big enough for a 1/12 car?

Hey guys,

I am back to working on the front end now. I have been very busy with our other shop work. I will be freeing myself up now to make sure that we have it completed in a very reasonable amount of time.

Hey J- is this something completely new; like different than the Assoc. front end?
Also should I wait on the CH12 until the new front end is done?

I hope it's a "set and forget" type of front end.

If all goes as planned, you will be very pleased. As you see with our rear suspension, we went with a much more solid platform than the rest that is much more durable and also no nonsense. The front end should be the same. The most advanced and impressive designs are impressive due to simplicity and durability. No springs popping off the links stuff.

For some reason this makes me picture a front end with flex link upper arms
