Hey Jason what body you been running on carpet lately? I been thinking about trying the AMR since there were so many running at last year's IIC but the Speed 8 HD has done well for me so I'm not sure I want to switch.

Im not a big fan of the AMR to be honest. I like the speed12 and HD speed 8.

I grew to really like the Speed 12 years ago but as the pods got longer the body didn't fit well anymore. Unfortunately the places I normally shop were out of Speed 8 HD bodies so I ended up ordering a couple AMR bodies anyway. I will keep an eye out for some Speed 8 HD bodies though...there is still time to get some ready for the race.

I did more testing last night with the car. I had AE links w/ gold side springs. The car was very hard to drive as it was just too aggressive for my liking. I hit fast laps but found myself not very consistant. Maybe a lighter side spring would be easier to drive. I will have to try that. The flex plates immediately made the car extremely comfortable and allowed me to hit the fast laps consistantly and i was much more relaxed. I want to do more testing with links and softer side springs nex time out to give them a true fair shot.

Default Shim front end ride height

I am using the AE front end on my BMI 12CH. To adjust the front end ride height i saw these quick type shims at A-Mains.
ManuTech-Racing-Front-Quik-Shim-Kit-10R5-12R5 (MTR140-105)

Will these fit perfect or do you guys have any other options or ideas for me

I use them on 10R5 and work great, but I donít think they going to fit on L4 front end which are used on CH12. If you get BMI FE itíll only take a few sec to adjust front ride height.

Jason, give the blue side springs a try with blue tube lube. Might be the ticket.

We have great news after running the new prototype tonight. Joe Sumasky went out with the car for the 1st time tonight and set the fastest laps ever run on this layout. He Had tied fast lap on his 1st pack without ever running on the layout before. He was very pleased and is looking forward to running the car more.

I am very pleased to hear these results as we have made very radical changes to this prototype and took a step away from the standard measurements you see on the competition. This could have worked much better or been much worse. There is no in between. We wound up coming out on top as he confirmed this to be the best car he has driven to date. These are big compliments as they dont come easy from him.

Sounds awesome...looking forward to seeing the changes to the prototype. Do you think they will make it out to the production model?

This is going to be an update kit. I dont want to release a whole new car. There are going to be alot of parts that come with the kit as alot has changed but from what we have found, it is in a class of its own. I still have a few more things to do but the basic geometry is set. It is different than what is available elsewhere but trust me, that will change shortly. We hit it big with this layout and geometry.
