Default BMI cars at IIC?

So, how many BMI pilots plan on making it to the IIC this year? Last year I think it was just Burt and me. I will be bringing two copperheads this year. One for stock and the other for 13.5.

Hopefully we can arrange to pit near each other.

"We are changing things up a bit but i really dont want to clog the Top thread with BMI stuff so if anyone wants any info, please PM me or we can discuss on the CH12 thread. Thanks guys.

BTW, thanks for the support guys."

Ok so lets talk . I'm wondering if your testing a new inline battery configuration which would lead to a slightly longer chassis . Its interesting that some of the new upgrade kits that are showing up are slightly longer in overall wheelbase; this reminds me of the original DB12 which was a touch longer if memory is correct.

Discuss please

I am testing a number of different things right now on our car. I am working with a new long wheelbase car that i am getting ready to try along with a link/spring or flex plate option. We have found no difference between laptimes with link/spring and flex plates. The flex plates just take a lot more abuse without having issues. The new flex plates we are testing have tweak screw holes again as we have had some people asking for them. I will post some pics shortly.

Nothing is ready for release as we are just testing new things. We are always testing to find newer and better things.

That is correct. Our DB12 was quite a bit longer than the rest. I know some of you are interested in the new AE battery layout that Bob did for the Snowbirds. My main goal is to offer as many mounting options as i can for you guys. I have a few different layouts i am working on. I will shoot some pics once i have the next test mule cut.

Very cool, I always found my DB12 to be(still is) the easiest 1/12 ever to drive. I remember talking pros and cons with you when I combined my 12R with a 12RR chassis which made it even longer. Of course the lightweight lipos have made our cars handle much differently. Keep up the good work Jason and post those pics!

Personally I would prefer either a centerline configuration or the way the battery is currently configured. An off-set longitudinal configuration I never liked much in TC due to the fact that every time you change batteries that are not exactly the same you throw off the balance of the car...the same thing applies to a similar layout in a 1/12th scale. I will say however the wiring does look a lot cleaner and that I do like.

Default wiring help with CH12

Starting to get mine ready to rumble

I do need some pointers on wiring with brushless / lipo.

Anyways, this is the first 12th I've had in a long time, it was 19t and nimh before this. I need to get the scoop on wiring this thing up. First off, I am putting an LRP TC competition ESC in... do I really need to run a receiver pack? And if so, what is the correct method for setting it up this way?

Also, if I run this esc with a receiver pack, I should not use the on/off switch, correct? I was told this can damage it.

Any tips on setting this specific ESC up for 1s 12th is appreciated, thanks. Not a total noob to 12th, just the current format.

your best bet is to post your question in the lrp thread im sure you will get an answer fairly quick in there.
