Is there other way to rebuild motor without comm lathe? What other good to have tool?

Just buy a lathe. If someone is charging 10 bucks to do it, thats rediculous. I charged about $4 max, depending on how many cuts I had to do.

A good model is the Eagle MOD lathe, retails for about $90 and includes the carbon V-Blocks and the bit that comes with it is really good, it lasts quite a long time.

A fiberglass brush cleaning tool is the ticket for cleaning your brushes after each run but is not a substitute for a rebuild.

$10 is pathetic. I'll cut anybody's comm at the track for free, all they have to do is ask. Most people at my local track are very helpful, if your need some foams trued most people will do it for free or a few bucks. If people are trying to screw you over just buy a lathe and you'll end up saving money.

10 bucks I would never pay that for a com cut. I would do it for free if somebody just asked me. If you were that greatfull, buy me a soda and we would call it even!

For that kind of money you might just want to buy your own lathe! besides it is a good investment if you don't want to keep buying motors...

i dont charge people money either.

I either do it for free for them, or I let them take my lathe back to their pit and use it themselves..

ive learned that charging people 1 or 2 bucks for something minor like that is crap. There was a time when I didnt have many parts for my tc3, and I broke a part, a racer there gave me the part, this happened another time. a few weeks later that racer needed some heavy brush springs, i had a brand new pair, i gave them to him.

always take the time to scratch someones back, cause you may need yours scratched in a hard to reach spot sometime...
