Where to buy Carbide Lathe Bit for Hudy??
Hello,
Let me start by apologizing if this has been addressed before, but I did some searching and didn't find an answer.
Where is the best place to purchase a carbide lathe bit for a Hudy Tech lathe? What size bit does it require? Can you find them at any hardware store? Are the one's on Ebay for $4.99 any good? Is there a particular brand that is preferred?
I checked with my LHS, and they only had the Diamond bits. From the other posts I've ready, I will be better off going with carbide since it is my first lathe.
Thank You,
Griffin

Any idustrial supply stoe should have them. take your lathe with you and show it to them. Some lathes need right hand bits and some need left. However, if you have no way to sharpen it it aint gonna work! see if you can find a machinist at your track and have him sharpen it for you. Otherwise, get a diamond.
