Do the single cell wraps cause any or much difference in heat with the batteries?

Not sure how much heat they generate, if any, but they are necessary. You don't want to short the pack when its assembled.

I think he means the single cell shrinks for protecting the labels.

The way I see it, if you don't care about your labels, why put more insulation that the heat needs to work it's way through.

If you want your labels to stay in mint condition, or if you tape your cells in, its probably a better idea to shrink them.

I'm using the Trinity ones I think... comes in 100pk. They are very very thin, much thinner than usual "battery pack" shrinkwrap, like the ones I use when making 3 cells into a stick.

So I don't think they block the heat much. Weight negligible.

However they can probably add 0.5-1mm width to your whole side-by-side pack; 6 brand new cells sits perfectly on my chassis but sometimes the completed pack don't sit as good.

No shrink is needed with the new GP's, end of story. Basically, yowant to keep the cells as close and level as possible. The deanm 3.0 bvars work well with these and promatch has good macthed cells as they have for the last 15+ years.
