Default Pinion pitch question.

I have a Tamiya M04 chassis that I got and it came minus motor or pinion. Does anybody know the pitch of the pinion that goes for this chassis I know I can use 17T, 19T and 21T but I'm not sure of the pitch. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

It's the "Tamiya" pitch. No, really. I think they use the Metric 06, which is commonly known as Tamiya pitch. Not to be confussed with imperial pitches like 48dp and 64dp. They make the gearing sound grindy.....

You need a 0.6 module pinion. Tamiya themselves sell them (sometimes they call them the AV Pinion), a few aftermarket companies make them too.

Be careful when people refer to them as "metric 48dp" - they are NOTHING like a 48dp pinion.
