Any suggestions to a better spur gear?
I've found that with six balls on a stealth diff I had to rebuild the diff almost every heat for it to be acceptable to me.
DuMor gears are pretty good and have eight holes on a small dia circle, that would work better.
Honestly, the best thing to do is get a big ring diff (Niftech, IRS). It's a huge difference over the small ring stealth diff. It is worth the expense as it will make a better diff than you can ever get with small rings and 6 or 8 balls, and you won't have to rebuild it nearly as often. I use Niftech diffs and rings (the best!) with ceramic balls and I can go 3 or 4 complete race days on a diff rebuild.
