I am looking for a car that is durable, competitive right out of the box (I don't want to add a lot of hopups to make the car competitive), less setup and abundant parts availability.
I am new to 1/12. Do I need special servo and equipment for 1/12? Is there any tools for measing toe in/out? My Hudy 1/10 setup tool is useless for measuring toe in/out of 1/12 right? Is QC2 good for 1/12?
first, go to the track that you will be running this car at and see what they support. Next, if you want the most bang for your buck, I would get the CRC. They sell the most complete car to date. Its durable, easy to set up and is very smooth.
Next I would suggest the 12L4 as it will be supported by almost any shop that races the 12th scale... its tough, easy to build and you don't need anything else when you buy it.
Next, I like the JR 3550 servo( yes you need a mini servo).. its fairly cheap (62.95 at my LHS) and fits like a glove in either car...
Now, if you can find a 12L3 real cheap, the get that and the PRC Quad 12 conversion... then you will have an awesome car...
thats my 2 cents...
