Maybe it's not the suface that turns me off so much as that pesky nature thing. That indoor asphalt sounds like a bit of fun, though again it would most likely lead to some sort of profanity. =)
Come on down here to race! Racing on asphalt is a real deal. I understand you race indoors for the winter. But racing outtdoors is awsome! Till it rains.
I would like to see another indoor asphalt track again down here. We had one here in south Fl in the mid to late 80's down here and it was always packed. Todd Putnam would spend his summers with his family racing here.
Dude some of our tracks have so much bite that we glue the outter edge on the tires, use .074 tplates, silver center spring with the third screw on the t-plate fitted and 2.5 mm ride right!
There are only a couple tracks that we search for traction but we get the cars to stick and are still faster then sedan mod. I am ussually 1 to 3 tenths faster then the best sedan mod car.
Also we race so much on asphalt we have it coverd. years of trial and error teached us how to make the cars work. Plus a good throttle finger helps keep it smooth!
Adrian and I will tell you we dont have traction issues!
Racing on asphalt is awsome. Passing someone in a drift is the shit! If you havent raced asphalt you really wont understand. I would take carpet indoors because of the heat and rain Plus! My chassis wont get scratched!
