Shock Oil Question

Please excuse me if this question has been asked before.

Can someone let me know if Trinity shock oil, let's say, #50 is equivalent to other brand's #500 (say Tamiya shock oil #500)?

Thanks in advance....

i believe they will feel different because they may use different types of oil , i have a ofns 40 wt and a serpent 40 wt and the ofna feels like a lighter fluid than the other brand. but thats from my expirience i could be wrong.

Shock Oil Question

Tamiya Virus;

Not all companies use the same method and conditions for measuring viscosity (thickness) of their Oils.

So Oil labeled 50wt from two different companies will vary.

500wt is SUPPOSED to be equivilant to 50wt, but WHOS 50wt is the question?

I personally like to stick with one brand for all of my Oil selections. This way I know how they will perform from one weight to the next.
