Another quick tip when building the shocks:

According to the manual you have to use two special rubber shims on the bottom of the shock to keep it from leaking. I prefer to use one rubber shim and one 1.5mm regular aluminum one for smoother shock operation. Seen from the piston side of the shock shaft its piston - rubber shim - alu shim - shock end cap.

Another helpful trick to get rid of shock rebound easily is to drill a 1mm hole in the top plastic shock cap so the air between the bladder and the cap can get out when (re)building.

Have fun with your new kit

I was racing on freshly paved ashphalt...had some nice in field chicanes and the car transitioned beautifully through them.

Im curious to see what you guys think about a convo i had with a fast racer at my local track...his preference was the plastic a-arms being that they may flex a bit more ....i personally think you wouldnt be able to notice a substantial difference between the too other then strenght under impact.

You will notice a rather huge difference! Back in the days when I drove with the Yokomo BD-5 we started out with plastic suspension as it came with the kit. Switching to a carbon suspension made the car much more responsive to setup changes and way more precise to drive. Especially in high traction conditions..

Anytime

For pro-stock use short suspension instead of the long one (tarmac and carpet)
