thanks for the input.
depends upon the car & setup -- but yes, they had HIGH grip like the Sweep Blues. i shimmed out my front wheels by 0.5mm and was running 1.5 degrees of front camber. in A3 last week i did traction roll for the first time ever!

We ran the new SP 35 ex tires on asphalt.
Great wear, and performance was great.
Thanks E.J.

We've been racing and selling them for a while now and they are my go to tire. They are just as fast (Or faster), last longer and are far less expensive than Sorex.

In fact, I was at Tamiya America Raceway last week for some testing and the fastest modified time of the day was with SP35-EX tires.

Yep.. Thats what we found, performance wise.
They are less expensive and just as good.

Thanks guys, the SP35EX tire has been working well!

We also have the tires available in dish rims as well.

About the tires:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Solaris Premium EX Tires

Solaris Racing has introduced a new premium rubber compound called the EX series. The series comes in three different compounds (30, 35, and 40). The EX tire has been thoroughly tested by racers around the globe with excellent results. The rubber formulation was specifically designed for asphalt racing and made to compete on the highest level against the best premium tires. Tires come premounted with Solaris medium inserts in both spoke and dish rim.

Available Compounds:

SP30EX
SP35EX
SP40EX

Default AOC Tires

EJ,

Do you know what tires compounds will be used at the different events for the AOC races? Looked at the AOC website and Facebook, but it does not say.

Thank you,

Patrick

Thanks EJ,

Are you planning on attending any of the upcoming rounds this year? I will be at round 3 and 5 this year.

You're going to 3 and 5! I'm jealous...

I was trying to make round 3 but doesn't look like it will happen. I'll shoot for round 5.

My goal while living over here in Japan is to attend at least 2 AOC events every year, maybe more. Would like to attend the Reedy race next year though, but will see. Hope you can to Yatabe.

I've been running the new sp35ex tires practicing for reedy, and am very happy with them. Only takes a lap or 2 to get a new set going and am able to get 3 to 4 good runs on a set. The best part about these tires is how consistant they are through the run. Really makes it so you don't have to second guess yourself.

I've been super impressed with the SP35EX tires. Sorex is usually the dominant tire at my local track with nothing else working nearly as good. But the new solaris's work as good or better then sorex, and are cheaper. Very good tires!

+1, as well, which is great, since I can't stand spending so much on Sorex. Fantastic tire, I really want to try the dish wheel.

Agreed! I am very glad that there is a truly viable alternative. I honestly haven't purchased a set of Sorex tires in months and I was using 1-2 sets per race day.

I have a very limited number of SP35-EX dish wheels arriving this weekend.
