The premium solaris tires are equal to Sorex and Sweeps.

I will test out both the medium and hard spec tires and report back when I test them. And on black rims of course. Thank you for having the option for black rims. I love them.

congrats to larry fairtrace for his spec touring car tq/win on solaris tires at the halloween classic this past weekend. saw a lot of sweep tires being run, but larry was setting the fastest laps all weekend with his solaris equipped top car. this was the first leg of the midwest grand slam, and larry proved that these tires are not only a viable option, but might just be the fastest one ...

nice work buddy.

It was great racing with you again. I missed you on the Mic but the race was fun and close.

Tires worked great for me. Ran some black rims in a couple rounds and some whites later.

Displaying all the Solaris varieties lol.

Yes those are the ones.

there are 3 different tires allowed at the classic. Solaris Medium, Jaco Blue, or sweep blues.

yeah, the rules of the midwest grand slam made that choice for us. there are 3 spec tires we can run, one of which is the solaris 'MGM' premounts: (P/N: S-TSMGM4W, S-TSMGM4B)

At our local track we run sxt 3.0 on carpet. Outdoors is a whole other story ..

When an event doesn't require a specific compound we usually stick to sxt 3.0.

How much wear, in regards to size, do you guys see over the usable life of your Solaris tires? In other words... what diameter are you tires when you toss them in the "practice only" bin?

I measured a used set of Solaris that had been run for 3 partial race days @ ~61.5mm. Granted, it is sort of difficult to get a truly accurate diameter measurement due to the the pliability of the rubber and the air gap between the tire and insert. Is 2mm a normal amount of wear for a rubber tire?

This is on parking lot/rough asphalt surface...

For club racing I usually run tires till they begin to show cord..... then just run them till they rip.....

I understand some people do that...

My question is more... How much does the diameter change over the life of the tire?
