Gonna be running some new wheels at CCC this weekend! Too bad they're gonna lead a Tamiya past TOP for the win.

Just wanted to say thanks again to EJ, Solaris, and TOP for not only hustling to get us the new wheels in time for our race, but also for sending a giant bag of goodies as help toward sponsoring our event.

We're going to be the first race on the new wheels, and early reports are that they feel great, and seem to be durable. For those interested in watching, we're on LiveRC as CORRC. We'll be doing a club race tomorrow night with many of the people already in town, practicing all day Friday, quals Saturday, another round and mains Sunday.

As a 100% club-supported permanent indoor track, we greatly appreciate companies willing to support the smaller "big" races, especially in areas that aren't typically considered a hotbed of on-road activity. We're excited for a great 4 days of racing!

Thanks for posting the pics Syndr0me! Solaris is more then happy to highly supports tracks that choose our tire as the spec tire.

Well after running these tires for the last three days at the CCC. I must say they are asome. Everyone here has had nothing but great things to say about them. The wheels handle great and look great. I really hope these tires continue to get picked as spec tires around the country.

Well, the event was quite a success, with lots of positive feedback about the tires on the new wheels. Most notably, that they don't seem to fall off at all, and last forever. Also, lots of people that have been running on the dish wheels previously commented that they felt a lot better on the new wheels. For high traction carpet, I think this combo is a winner.

We had black and white wheels, and people seemed split right down the middle on which they liked better. Nobody bolted the dish inserts on, so I guess the spoke is the popular choice. Here's some videos of the action in 17.5 rubber:

We used the Solaris Hard tire as the tire for our first race of the season on asphalt and we had about 60 Touring entries. I think mostly everyone was very happy with how the performed and held up. The track never got super hot but traction was good when the track was around 110 all the way down to 60 degrees by the mains.

I know I'm a poor substitute for Dustin, but... we ran medium. The videos in my previous post are from the race he's talking about. I'd say traction was medium-high? We run mediums all the time and they seem to work great.
