Dont waste your money on losi, go TEKIN so easy to upgrade firmware through the HOTWIRE setup!!!!!

I say do it, if you feel its a good deal, you could always replace it later. I have had really good luck with the motors. They are right though the newer systems can kill it but they need a good driver behind the wheel too.

I have been using an excelerion combo 13.5 in my TC for a year now, just upgraded to Teamwave.
I have a Losi 6.5T in my TRF501X and it goes very well, has been with a GTB but I have now put the excelerion ESC in with it.
Beaty is it good adjustments via the PC
As already mentioned if it is a trade, it's a great way to get into brushless

Losi motors are OK. They are probably done by Hacker in Europe. I've had one 17.5T Losi and it was fine. You can get the motor, no problems. Only thing is you can't change timing on it like you can on Tekin for an example.
For ESC I'd recommend Castle Mamba Max Pro or Tekin RS (Pro) at the moment.

Sorry, I've been on a research binge for my new XRay M18 Pro - 1/18th scale sedan, and was just didn't realize what size you guys may have been talking about. So yeah, I'm looking for a 1/18th scale brushless and ESC combo, and was looking for user experiences.
