Gt7 for stupid people

hello, yes i fit into the topic, but i was wodering if someone can explain the dif profiles and how they feal on the track. I know they say 5 is the best and 7 is for stock but why? will some be faster then others?

The lower drive freq # means the car will have better acceleration but not as good top speed if it had a higher drive freq, higher freq also means the motor last little longer between cuts and little less acceleration than lower freq #. Lower freq # for brakes will make them more punchy, higher is smoother and usually best for me for brakes. Deadband, bigger number means you have to pull the throttle or push brakes further before the throttle/brakes are activated, if number is smaller the car will move or stop with less movement in radio trigger. Minimum drive, higher number means it will be more punchy and when car moves it will start with higher amount of voltage to motor, smaller number isn't as punchy.

what profile is the fastest? i assume that is best for stock, then like 5 for mod with punch?

If you are finding the power of the car difficult to handle then go down the scale a few profiles. On the flip side, if you feel that you could handle more punch then go up the scale. The profiles are good for running mod as you can tune to make it easier to drive while you are getting used to it. For stock...just put it on 6, you'll probably never have enough power (in stock) to worry about it.

it depends to on gearing,battery,and motor,profile 5 is by far the fastest,i used to use profile 3 and 4. but when i switch to 5 w/ the right gearing and etc....it's fast

profile 7 is for your own setting,so basically you set it up the way you like it...

4 = slick tracks
5 = modified
6 = stock

Unless you need drag brakes, I wouldn't use 7, freq is too high.

I believe Mike Blackstock said that Profile 5 is probably the best for all types of racing. He said he never switches! You can go check his Thread if ya want!!

im running mostly stock so ill try 5 and 6 and see what gives me the better lap time, thanks alot
