Default Losi XXXs-G+ w/ speed tech towers?

I saw the Speed Tech SSG shock towers and wondered if anyone has tried them. Don't know anything about em.

I used to run them. Still have them. I'm running the PRP one now. They worked fine and they had the extra mounting hole on the front tower. I just liked the black of the PRP ones and they seemed a little stronger. It's one of those things I got and liked the looks of but didn't really notice a huge perfornamce gain or loss.

So do the holes match except for the extra one? Alos, other than the hole, since it is flat, does it have any noticeable twist or flex? According to their web site, they are lighter too. BTW, Jon its 2:30, aren't you racing Familie tonight?

They do twist a little but the foce that's applied from the suspension is not fore and aft. So it's not noticeable. As far as the holes, they just add a row to the top on the camber links on the front tower. A lot of guys were drilling and tapping their stock towers so they just did it for you.

I'm still at work. I'll be leaving here at 4:30. Cutting it close but oh well. It's only a 15 minute drive from work.

So, you're not using the SSG ones anymore? Is it more because of looks, or function? Or, cause like, me you have to try everything just because?

Well, I did break one once @ SoCal, not the fault of the tower (the brick wall there is not very forgiving.) so I replaced the rear only then found the ones I'm running not on Ebay for $12 a set! So I picked them up. I think they look better being the black CF. SSG just didn't look like it fit with the G+ chassis. They're also quite a bit beefier.

The black one's I have are not Speedtech. I think the company name is PRP (PTP maybe) But they are .5mm thicker and have a lot more material than the Speedtech ones. If you like the silver go for them. I just like the black look better and the extra beef was a bonus.
