Thumbs up Head's up on diff rings

I seems Schumacher has improved the U2408 non indexed diff rings. I just got 2 pairs from Schu USA and it seems that they are ground to size now. The old ones were stamped and you could see a rounded side and a sharp side. They used to fit loosely on the outdrives.

The latest U2408 rings are awesome. I sanding them may no longer be necessary. They also fit very precisely on my Mi3 outdrives.

Big props to Schumacher for doing this small but very important improvement!

Trying not to bring 3 cars our there. Planning on 1/12 and stock foam or rubber which would be my EC. If I run 10.5 I would need to bring my mi3 too :-(

I know that Jason and I will be running TC Foam Stock. I heard Roberto Falcon from Orlando is too.

I put McGoo's setup on my car down to the new 1deg alloy rear hubs.

Hey, McGoo...what cetner track rod are you running. Narrow, Mid or Wide and Short, Med. or Long?

I am starting my tires just under 58mm..is that ok or too big still?

Hey McGoo, what would you change with 10.5 power strapped in?

Nothing.

Maybe a tick higher spring rate, but thats it. And the gearing of course.

I am just running the stock trackrod (med/med)...it feels the smoothest of them all. I haven't tried any of the wide trackrods, but i would like to try here pretty soon....

As for tires, I start my club racing tired at about 58.25. I usually try to get one practice run in with them to scrub them in and that gets me right around 58. Just be aware the car will be a lil too twitchy and feel tippy with the 58's. The car is perfect by the end of the race day when they are around the 56.5-57mm mark.

@ JB - I have found that with 10.5 the setup might feel a bit pushy. I ended up putting some initial brake in my speedo and a touch in my radio to help the car from rolling too much through the corners. I have been running 5* tamale blocks the past few weeks, but I still like the extra initial steering you get with the 6*. If your car is feeling pushy entry, try getting more caster, if it is pushing mid/apex/exit - you might want to try the extra caster and go up on springs to compensate for the car being more aggressive and diving faster.....
