There's no real help for this. It's caused by the fact that driveshaft couplings used in RC cars are not true CVD's (Constant Velocity Drive or whatever) and so when you turn the wheels, the wheel side and diff side don't rotate at the same angle through the full rotation. At some point the wheel rotates faster, at other point the wheel rotates slower. That's the way it is with all model cars, it nothing specific to Schumacher or Mi2. You can feel it even if you rotate the wheel by hand. And, since the wheel is heavy and big, diff is small and light, the wheel wants to hold it's speed and all the fluctuation in rotating speed is done by the diff, causing the belt slap you see.

It's not really a problem, so if your belt is not overly loose, just don't worry about it and run it like you stole it

Actually - Can someone clear up the BL can drilling/modding?

I've seen a few pics of BL can mods in the past. Is this really for the weight saving? Does it help with cooling? Basically a general WTF mate....

Does it compromise magnetic strength? Create the need for more maintenance? Feedback anyone?

WTF...

A little secret about some of the mods you see on many factory pilots rides; more than half are done for the cool factor

The only reason I did my diff fences is that it LOOKS way better! Some one came into the shop one day and asked me how much weight I saved by doing it; I told them I have know idea and lets check. All the pieces I removed equaled 4-5grams (7grams is a 1/4oz) of rotating mass

btw...Ugly cars don't normally make it into the winners circle; well except for Paul Lemieux's cars
