maybe if you were much lighter others would actually be trying to hang with you instead

I don't recall having a weight problem that caused me to loose a race. I have been way lighter than guys and lost and way heavier than guys and won. I try not to be a ton over weight but I just don't worry about a few grams.

Hey I guess it is up to each individual on what they think about the weight of their car. For me the only weight I worry about at all is the spinning weight of the drivetrain. I like to have it lightweight but reliable.

I've installed Ti screws, turnbuckles and the lowest weight electronics I could find and mine weighs in at 1398 grams (19T, 5 cell). Put the lightweight bulkheads on there and I should be right on the limit

Thumbs up

hey guys, soccer season is ending soon, and my duties as a coach are almost over. soon, very soon, i will get to race again. I will be racing on carpet with rubber tires. my questions are;

1: what is best for low to med traction on carpet; 1-way, diff, or spool, (for stock)

2: what arms are best for this surface, carbon fiber or the new "flex arms".

thanks in advace for the answers.

Hmmm...2 of the 3 over weight Mi3's that won last weekend Schumacher Mi3's also won 3 of the 4 Championship classes in the Florida State Series (Stock, Mod, and Masters)

3 Mi3 pigs won stock, mod, and masters class against Serpent, Xray, Associated, Corally, HPI, etc. Unless you're Toso, Moore, Hara, etc, the lighter weight isn't going to help anyone else make up any time after slamming pipes

Don't worry, Schumacher will release an '08 edition with most of the "LW" hop-ups. You're not telling them anything they don't already know

Actually the RDX is still one of the lighter cars today...look back the famous rc cars magazine 2005 summer issue that evaluated the top 8 TC's of the time...the RDX came in top 2nd at a under 1400g ready to run weight on 6 cells, according to the magazine...the lightest was the tamiya 415 MSX...Yok BD was 3rd, I belive...but the RDX is still light...
