Has anyone had clearance issues with the P-Dub front bumper and the front wheels? Any recomendations for trimming the bumpers cause i noticed that mine rubbed and worked like a brake on my outer wheel while turning and it really threw off my turn in.

By chance if anyone on here has a nice 1/12th scale package (car, parts, tires, servo, etc) they are looking to get rid of and want a Mi3 please email me.

I have two Mi3s one of which I might get list for sale to get a 1/12th. Thought I post here before listing anything online.

Just grind away at the bumper with a dremel where the tire rubs.

jaybee and i race at the same track(s) and our gearing couldn't be any further apart. i usually run a 5.4, no matter what the track cause thats where "MY" motor performs its best. during the large outdoor 2 day race i went up to 5.7 and didn't drop in lap times. i don't run the 13mm rotor. and have used both the sintered and bonded rotor, jaybee runs the 96 spur, i run the 89 or 87, it does make a difference. i also use the lrp tc spec speedo. btw this is the novak motor, jaybee has the orange end bell ring while mine has the older black one. i recently got a lrp 13.5 and install a sintered rotor, not real happy with it, need to do more gearing testing. a little bird told me lrp might be coming out with different size sintered rotors, the current one is a 14mm, next one will be a 12.5. of course that is hear say

indoor on carpet with a vegas replica layout . .

4.2-4.4 FDR depending on tires size. I have a hard time handling so much torque though. I turn about the same lap times with my throttle highpoint turned down to 80% as I do at 100% and I am more consistant with the slower car. I'll be trying a CO27 this week to see how that compares. I think its easy to overdrive the car with the BL 13.5 in it because it has so much torque.

I was running the above FDR's with a fan on the motor with an LRP Sphere Comp FYI. I saw a sintered 13.5 cook this last weekend with gearing a touch taller than mine without a fan and wouldn't want that to happen to you.

oh yea, the 13.5 with Mi3, HAS to be driven smooth and easy to be fast. if you drive it hard it will be slow, at least that is my opinion, thats why i like the lrp, i can actually feel the different throttle profiles.

I have driven the C027 and Novak 13.5 back to back. It's definitely easier to drive a brushed stock motor. For one they are slower. They also have more drag when you left off the throttle going into a turn. The 13.5s are way faster and keep rolling when you let off so it takes a different style of driving. Most people who have raced or know me also know I don't look into setups that much. Heck I really don't at all...I just drive and that's it :P So just wheel that sucker.

This past Saturday I ran our big series race in both those classes. Something was wrong with my 13.5 car I never figured out...probably a bent hingepin. My brushed C027 car worked well too.

Might be boring to watch someone elses car go around and you really can't tell much but here's a link to the vids. The last one I TQ the class.

Custom.

A ton of guys around here if not the majority run 13.5s on a weekly basis. So if you ever come out this way to Harbor and/or Trackside you'll get an idea of what Novak would be like since it's usually loaded with WI/IL guys.

cool . .thanks guys. I am going to try a different profuile in my esc and see if I can feel the difference and then also try to soften the torque with my throttle expo and see if I am any more consistant with either of those adjustments.
