Randy is TQ in 19 turn Rubber with Alan Hewett in 4th. Goetz is 5th in Stock foam A right now and 3rd in the B in 19 turn foam. That's all I really looked at. Not sure where McGoo ended up.

hey all,

caught a break in the action today. the team has done well, and had fun doing it.

mcgoo ended up qualifying at the top of the c. he didn't have crazy rip, but was driving the wheels off of it all weekend, with some of the best lines i've seen. he was picking away at a solid b-main run, but we didn't get the power right last night in round 4, so it didn't happen. with a little more work, mcgoo's gonna be our next foam tire queen...

after driving marc's car in practice, i made some changes that seemed to go in the right direction. i've been on the mild side of things all weekend, finally getting some steering for 19t last night. had a 6 or 7 spot going and got out of rythm in casino corner at the 4 minute mark. nothing new. stock's gone well, but i messed up my rip in the last round too. came out running hard, but had nothing to finish a flawless run with. the chassis is working, and is extremely easy to drive.

the rubber guys are doing well, as mentioned. we knew maddison and castor would be fast, and now hewitt has stepped up to join them.

the mains will be fun.

9th, can you hear me knocking?

lata,

Just got some great news on the IIC in Vegas:

SCHUMACHER 1 and 2 in stock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jimmy Madison takes the win
Alan Hewitt takes 2nd

In 19t:
Randy Caster gets 2nd
Jimmy Madison brings in 4th

SUPER CONGRATS GENTS!!!!!!

Unfortunately, the above is all I know for now. We should be hearing from the rest of the team as they get back home and settled.

I gotta give some mad props to the real foam queen....Chris Goetz. This by far has been my best "big event" showing in my 2.5 years of racing. I came into Vegas with some realistic expectations of getting in the 'C'. After the first 2 days of practice and a few setup changes, I had more confidence than ever in not only my car, but my driving ability.

Everytime we went out there i was shaving off a tenth or two. The first day was great - I was sitting 12th, but I KNEW there were still tons of guys that have not had a great run.

My second Q was my best run of the entire week and placed me 3rd in the C. My rip was just a tad off, but my driving could have been a little more conisistent. At this level....5 seconds means the A or the C.

It was a bitter sweet weekend. I was proud of myself and my car, but I just got a taste of the oppportunity to end up in the A. I feel like alot of people took notice of the Mi3 this weekend as I had more than one comment from other peeps how well both Goetz's and my car looked.

I know with a little more practice that I will be there.....2008 IIC A-Main or BUST!!!

Just wanted to thank Shawn for helping us out with parts and support, Goetz for believing in me, and all my peeps back home cheering me on.

mcgoo out....

Man, that 19 turn main is gonna haunt me for a while. If you look at my top 10 laptimes average, they are faster than anyone elses fastest single lap. Traction rolled off the track twice though, so that didnt help much, lol.

Car worked great on rubber tires, however this is my first time running rubber on high grip carpet (2 practice days on low-grip) so when the bite came up, I didn't really know what to do to make the car stop traction rolling. I definately want to get some more track time with rubber on carpet though, it was a blast to drive, and with the right setup, I dont think the car would have been beatable.

Right, down to the nitty gritty, some carpet rubber setups please

I already have a couple of setups from people but I need every available alternative.
I'm going to try not to embarass myself at CarpetWars.

Thanks
Skiddins

I think Jimmy Maddison's car had the best setup on it, my setup was fast but extremely loose, which is normal for my setups, but everyone else normally hates it, lol.

What roll centers did you use f/r ? I think that higher is supposed to help in high traction. I need to get the car figured out for stock rubber at the Birds.
