thnaks in advance
Don't know if I was lucky or it was because I totally stripped down the CVD's (front and rear) and rebuilt them with threadlock and for the rear ones I made a little boot that covers the entire CVD joint out of heatshrink. I have been using mine now since mid Feb running mod with a spool, and no problems yet......touch wood.

Well Schumacher UK will still carry Fantom as long as Fantom provides product. Just because they are for sale, doesn't mean things shut down. Remember Associated was sold last year and nothing changed

Hey Paul thanks for getting all that stuff here so quickly. I'm just getting ready to start building. Damn that box is heavy.

Default Front droop

I was rebuilding my Mi2 today and whilst setting the droop on the front I noticed that it would not droop as much as I wanted it to when increasing the camber to -2.
I think it is due to the yoke not being able to rotate as far as I'd like?
Has any one else had this problem? And is there a way of allowing the yoke to move freely?

Thanks

Darren

If you look where the yoke fits into the front arm you will find there is a plastic boss that interferes with the yoks travel. This boss is there for the lower shock mounting ball stud. You can remove the boss without causing any problems.

You will only have this problem if you are running a lot of droop and a lot of camber.

Guys, after a looong break from racing (3+ years) I want to get back into it. I'm thinking of getting a Mi2 EC, which will go nicely with my brand new, still unassembled Cat 3000 I bought before I stopped racing (don't laugh....I know I'm slack )

Someone here mentioned that the Mi2 shock springs will not fit the new EC pro shocks - if that's correct, has Schumacher released a shock spring kit for the new EC shocks (or at least, selling them in pairs) ?

Also, does anyone know the exact part number for the graphite battery brace that will fit the EC ?

Thanks in advance for any info anyone can give......

That's true. The new shocks are much shorter than the old Mi2 ones. The pro spring kit part number is U2822. The battery strap and alloy post kit for the EC to fit the larger cells is U2985.

Well most of my assembly of my new EC is done. Need to add electronics and setup everything. So far so good with no real problems during assembly.
Just need to get it all done so I can break it in and get the belts loosened up some. Drivetrain is smooth but not as free as it will be with a few runs in 19T next weekend. Noticed the spool really chatters at full steering throw but then again all my other brand cars I have had did the same thing.

Car looks great. The new shocks are so smooth and really easy to build. Once I get everything setup I might get to try it out Sunday. If not next weekend will be my first race on the new car.
